Laid down sod in my yard yesterday, and just in time, because it’ll get a good soaking over the next few days. Really looking forward to finally having a backyard. Believe it or not, this whole area used to be a parking lot. Excavation, grading, fence, grading, tree install, grading, topsoil, grading, sod… we’re almost there!

Pre-sod yard. Some weeding and raking still to be done.

Well, on 2nd last step of upstairs changes... which will be tiling the hallway. The previous step was I guess a feature wall type of thing I posted the details on in woodworking section... but here is a pic... but leads me to my question for those that do tiling... Is there a quick set thinset anyone recommends? I am using 9 inch hex shaped tiles, and it is the hallway, so i want it to dry as quick as possible, as also hav 2 cats i cant

One thing I've never been happy with since I built my home were the walls of my attached garage. I always wanted something that was functional to hang and store stuff but also 'clean' looking. I had originally lined it with OSB painted white. Recently I decided to try a product called trusscore. It's all vinyl, went right on over top of my existing wall and will allow me to the hanging space I've wanted.
