🏠 DSSAB applied to the Canada-Ontario Housing Benefit (COHB) and the Last Mile Fund. If successful, these funding opportunities will bring 15 new housing units and 8 new shelter beds to our community, supporting individuals transitioning from shelters to stable living. Hopefully these efforts will allow DSSAB to continue building a stronger, more supportive community for everyone. 💙

This week, DSSAB Board Chair, Stephanie Hopkin, and CEO, Mike Nadeau had the opportunity to advocate for increased funding for the Community Paramedicine (CP) Program at the ROMA Conference. 🫶 They had productive discussions with Minister Paul Calandra and Parliamentary Assistant Tyler Allsopp from the Ministry of Long-Term Care about the importance of this vital service to our community. 🚑
