Don't forget to add dryer vents and ducts to your spring cleaning list. Should be done once per year. Check the outside vents as well as snow, ice or in my case, an errant snowblower can cause damage.

I spent some time this weekend repainting my kitchen. I originally had chosen a royal blue colour which just wasn't doing it anymore. So I decided to go with a nice burnt orange colour which I believe compliments and warms the room much better. I pulled the colour from a set of mats. Now I have an excuse to buy some new curtains and a few other accessories :)

When tiling your shower area, consider using large format tiles. Always ensure to use a proper water proof tile backer board, prior to installing your tile. It is also extremely important to use a good quality grout, with sealers added, as this will seal better and they usually don’t shrink or crack. This provides better protection from leaks and damage.
