I love this shade of blue we did this month. Would look so nice with a white trim. What's a favourite go-to colour you like to use?

Looking to update the curb appeal without completely rebuilding the deck? Consider some aluminum railings. This project is regal railings. There are a few brands.

One thing I've never been happy with since I built my home were the walls of my attached garage. I always wanted something that was functional to hang and store stuff but also 'clean' looking. I had originally lined it with OSB painted white. Recently I decided to try a product called trusscore. It's all vinyl, went right on over top of my existing wall and will allow me to the hanging space I've wanted.

Anyone know what the best sealant is to use at the edges between the window well and the foundation? Just some exterior caulking? Something heavier duty?

Last spring, I dug a 5ft hole, my dad helped me pour a footing, and we installed a beam to lift and carry the centre of our porch which had sagged a couple inches. Now that it's raised, the porch windows can open again which is a welcome improvement.

My grandfather made this lamp out of a 40mm artillery shell. Last year I learned how to rewire it so it's good as new. It was a fun project and since then, I've been able to fix a few other lamps with confidence.

Any ideas how I clone myself? A month ago, I figured I had 4 projects to tackle over the summer.
Hardwood flooring - check!
Tile hallway
Tile Kitchen
Fix roof (puting on a coating to give me a few more years before replacing)
I now have added fix garage (additional structure support in case we get another winter like the one we had, and leaky flat roof) to the list, get someone to trim (remove branches) two big trees so I don't have …

I don't know about you, but as soon as someone tells me it will only take a few days I think "that's great, let's do it!" A few days into it, I am cursing whomever said it would be easy!

Next phase of the project is to tile the hallway. I have done 2 small bathrooms in the past, and backsplashes, but this will be the biggest space for me tiling, about 95 sq feet.
We decided on an 8 inch, white with thin swirls of grey, hexagon tile. We wanted to brighten up the hallway, and have a nice contrast in colour with the hardwood.
Going to watch some videos as I want to make sure i get a consistent layer of the mortar stuff, and …

Well, when I came on here, I said I wanted to learn as I was an amatuer handyman of sorts. That may not be the right description, but I am an amatuer! But I like trying to do things around the house. I commented previously on this project (remove old carpet and install solid hardwood), but just finished room 4 of 4, the living room (took 3 days). Took me 4 weekends, 7 days total, spread over a couple months to do all 4 rooms. I will never do it …

Today I had eavestroughs installed. They accidentally installed them in the front of the house when I had only paid for them around the back, so they didn’t charge me for the additional. They did a great job too!

In the midst of installing solid hardwood flooring. Have done 3 rooms now, those were about 120 sq ft each.
I dont know how longvit ahould take, but yesterday was 11 hour day, couple short breaks, and probably an hour to prep and clean up.
Feels it is taking longer than it should, but it is tedious, yet rewarding.

Looks like warm weather is finally coming and it’s time to check your air conditioner.
First, remember to remove the outdoor cover and clear any debris.
Many people forget this and costs them with expensive repairs.
Then, replace the air filters and ensure all vents are open.
A professional maintenance check-up is also recommended.
