In my opinion, the key is to use a sealant that stays flexible. As temperatures change and the window well expands and contracts, you will want something that will not pull away. Some brand names I've seen are Big Stretch, and Total Stretch.

Thanks! I've used big stretch around windows and trim and it's great. I wasn't sure if that would cut it against concrete and sitting up against the dirt.

I picked up some grey Big Stretch and installed the well this weekend. Seems to have adhered well. Appreciate the help!
Anyone know what the best sealant is to use at the edges between the window well and the foundation? Just some exterior caulking? Something heavier duty?
