About a week ago I posted about book 2 from the Acotar series. Well let me tell you that book 3 was, book 3 was just EVERYTHING!! Again, if you've never read this series and are looking for something fun, exciting and adventurous, then you need to read to it!

So I've always been a thriller/murder/mystery kind of girl when it comes to reading. Then, thanks to Spaces and some lovely ladies at work, I decided to try out the Fourth Wing books. Update! I finished "Hunting Adeline", that book is not for the faint of heart! Very graphic and triggering content & themes. However, a week later, I still can't get those characters out of my mind. A few of us posted about having read Knife by Salman Rushdie recently, which is the memoir he published following this attack. If I remember right, he wasn't sure at the time of publication whether he would testify in a trial.

I just finished listening to ‘Remarkably Bright Creatures’ for the second time….i enjoyed it even more this time. The person who does the octopus’ (Marcellus) voice could not be more perfect. This was a great antidote/escape from the sad realities the news provided this weekend.

When Sault PC candidate Chris Scott told me his real, legal name, I immediately knew how I was going start my SooToday news story. “Christopher Allen Winfield van Scott,” he told me. It had a kind of rhythmic quality that reminded me of this 1936 football novel that I had on my bookshelf as a child. It was never gifted to me. I assume it was a memento from my father’s childhood. I have no idea why the book’s first four lines remain crystal-clear …

My February reads (hopefully)! I did a lot of reading in the beginning of January and then bought these books to keep that momentum going, but I haven't picked any of them up yet. Does anyone else fall into reading slumps like this? If so, what are some of the ways you pull yourself out of it? I also can't decide which book to read first — any suggestions?
