Personally I have 54 on my tbr pile in my room l, let alone all the books I've read lol. Guessing around 400, plus lol.

Is this too many?

I have 1,001 books (mostly business, computers and writing books) in my home office. Mostly on these shelves but have another big shelf on the other wall. I purged a bunch last year :)

I think my nightstand stack is about 10-12 high right now :)
