So I've always been a thriller/murder/mystery kind of girl when it comes to reading. Then, thanks to Spaces and some lovely ladies at work, I decided to try out the Fourth Wing books. Update! I finished "Hunting Adeline", that book is not for the faint of heart! Very graphic and triggering content & themes. However, a week later, I still can't get those characters out of my mind. A few of us posted about having read Knife by Salman Rushdie recently, which is the memoir he published following this attack. If I remember right, he wasn't sure at the time of publication whether he would testify in a trial.

I just finished listening to ‘Remarkably Bright Creatures’ for the second time….i enjoyed it even more this time. The person who does the octopus’ (Marcellus) voice could not be more perfect. This was a great antidote/escape from the sad realities the news provided this weekend.

My February reads (hopefully)! I did a lot of reading in the beginning of January and then bought these books to keep that momentum going, but I haven't picked any of them up yet. Does anyone else fall into reading slumps like this? If so, what are some of the ways you pull yourself out of it? I also can't decide which book to read first — any suggestions?

Me....Well with all this talk of Onyx Storm last week, I decided to jump on the band wagon. I read the first book in the series, Fourth Wing over Friday and Saturday, and today I'll start Iron Flame! I cannot wait! This series is extremely good and has completely drawn me in.

Hi, all! I Just wanted to come on here and share some romantasy books I just purchased! If anyone here has read these let me know, I'd love to hear your review. Also, Skyshade is the third book in the series, Lightlark. Would definitely recommend trying if you're into enemies to lovers romance/fantasy.

Instead of watching television on Monday (I was trying to avoid you know what), I started a cozy mystery series that takes place in the White House. The first book is called; "State of the Onion" by Julie Hyzy. Escapism? Maybe.
