When your plastic lawn chairs look a little tired, here's a great way to give them a makeover:
Surface prep: Hand sand lightly with 220 to 320 grit sandpaper to increase adhesion. Clean well (TSP, Safe Prep, or similiar product). Rinse well (unless using Safe Prep) and then nice and dry.
Topcoat: Spray with aerosol enamel paint, which comes in a wide variety of colours. Apply multiple thin coats, allowing to dry in between coats. See the label for instructions.
TIP: After prep, don't touch the plastic with your bare hands - you'll leave an oil residue that will prevent the paint from sticking.
