Here are some 'old' carbon bikes. How things have moved on in the past 10 or 15 years. From rim brakes, 1200 to 1400gm frames, 23 mm tires, to today's 800gm, disk brake frame with 32mm tires. Last year I did a complete strip down and rebuild of my 1972 CCM Turismo. This bike has been a regular rider for me since about 2010. My dad bought it new in 1972 and when I was getting into cycling while living in London he took it out of storage and gave it to me. What a great couple days of riding that was! I hope everyone got some good smiles per mile in. I've learned the term "under biking" recently. It's taking a bike that's less capable than the typical bike for the ride... Some shots from a rebuild of a Sturmey-Archer 3 Speed Hub I did last year. This one is off of a 1970s Raleigh Superbe but they were very popular hubs found on a lot of different bikes though the years The internals of these hubs and are a testament to how great internal geared hubs are. One of my vintage projects from last year. This is a 1943 or a 1948 CCM Roadster Rambler (youth size). I can't know for sure because the key digit in the serial number is poorly or misstamped. This bike is in immaculate condition but was not all original when I got it and I cannot source tires.for the original colour matched rims. So I didn't little bit of a custom mod. Fort Creek last night. Even walking was difficult. Probably another week before it’s rideable. We are currently lobbying to keep it maintained in the winter as it’s a very popular 4 season cycling/walking route.

I've started rebuilding a 1941 Humphrey 'Motorbike'. It's rare to find a WWII era bike in relatively complete condition like this. A Humphrey is a brand that most people will not recognize. Wishart Park: Kudos to Travis Anderson and Tourism Sault Ste Marie for creating the connection between our best in the province trail system in the Hiawatha Highlands to the Hub Trail and the rest of our evolving trail network. The value of this link cannot be overstated. Visitors and citizens will now have close to 100 km of interconnected trails. This is by far the most exciting development since the opening of the Hub Trail.
