This is a VERY special bike. This was a bike I lusted over when I first started riding seriously.
This Cinelli dates from the late 1960's, or perhaps 1970. Determining the actual age of this model is very difficult, as there is minimal surviving marketing material, or solid dates when features were changed. They often appear older than they are due to the more traditional components like that cottered crank and centrepull brakes.
This model was first introduced sometime around 1950, as Cinelli's top level racing bike, alongside the (Model C) lower end Riviera aimed at the townie market. It wasn't their first racing bike though, that was the Modello Super Corsa Lusso circa 1947-1951. This model was the same as used by a Russian cyclist to win the 1960 Olympic Road Race. Sometime in the 50's Cino Cinelli released the Modello "A" Super Corsa, which is almost identical except for some holes in the lugs, which was the foundation for the Supercorsa that is amazingly still being produced !
The frame's serial number is 103, but frame numbers aren't a reliable predictor of age on these. This is an outlier though, the vast majority of frames in the Cinelli Registry have serial numbers over 2000, with only 3 or 4 frames below 1000. So this one is quite rare.
Yes there is a bit of rust and some damage to the paint on the top tube, and the stem is from the 1980's, but for its age, it is in very good condition. Definitely a keeper !
