Not only is the provincial government going to rip out newly constructed cycling lanes in Toronto (and not support the construction of any new ones throughout the entire Province), it is going to cost taxpayers $48 million dollars to remove just the ones in Toronto. To add insult to injury ... literally ... if a cyclist or pedestrian is injured or worse, using those roads after the lanes have been removed, they are not allowed to sue the government for their actions. Therefore, the government removes something designed to save lives and are immune from paying damages, etc., for increasing the risk of injury or death ? As a cyclist, do feel that is fair, or proper ?
