Jones Bar Review As you get older your ability to get into a good aero position often comes at the price of comfort. I would rather ride comfortably for longer periods than go fast. With that in mind, for a few years now I have been musing a Jones bike which doesn’t fit in any specific category. So last spring I got myself a retirement present: the jones Titanium swb space frame with truss fork. It is really the SUV of bicycles being happy on road, dirt or gravel. It’s a great commuter, long distance tourer or MTB. And it’s gorgeous.
If you don’t want to buy a full Jones, you can start with a Jones bar (available at Velorution). The Jones bar puts your hands in a neutral position dramatically reducing pressure on your wrists and hand. The bar also puts you in a more upright riding position dramatically reducing hand numbness and neck pain. It also allows several hand position including a full tuck aero position with the optional “narwhal” extension.
For me it’s been a game changer as hand numbness and neck pain really affected my cycling enjoyment on the road and trail. So if this is something you have issues
