CLASSIC REWIND TO 1970 and THE TUXEDO BLACK EL CAMINO.
The 1970 Chevrolet El Camino was a "Work of Art. And today it remains one of the most sought after Classics. It truly never gets old because of its timeless design and it"s engine options. The LS6 454 cubic engine was one the most powerful engines of the day and was made available for the El Camino.

Saultite Jim Tucker was fortunate enough to have owned one in the early seventies.

Jim spoke about how brother Fred was one of the earlier owners. It changed hands several times before Jim would take ownership and he perform a restoration on the El Camino. He would enjoyit for several years before eventually selling it.

To this day, 55 years later memories remain in the Classic Car community about that special El Camino. I for one can still recall seeing it on Queen Street. The Tuxedo Black paint with the White Stripes and the rumble of the LS6 454 engine commanded attention wherever it went. Pic courtesy of volocars.com. Please donate to Sault Area Hospital Fund.
