A Sault Daily Star article about the spring storm stated: "No one seems to know what this parking meter has to smile about. But it was about the only smile in the city this morning as motorists fought their way to work this morning through about nine inches of snow. Maybe the meter was happy at the thoughts of not having to swallow many icy nickels on such a stormy day", see photo four!
