If you need a quick dinner biscuit, this is my go to recipe!
2 1/4 cup flour 1 tbsp baking powder 1 tbsp sugar (opt) 1 tsp salt 1/3 cup softened unsalted butter + extra for topping 1 cup milk
Preheat oven to 400
Mix all dry ingredients together. Add butter. Mix until it turns to small crumbles then add the milk. *Sprinkle in a bit more flour is dough is *super* sticky/goopy Kneed about 10 times. Roll into biscuit sized pieces and place onto a baking sheet. Brush with melted butter. Bake for 13-15 minutes or until edges are slightly golden.
TIP: use REAL butter. Margarine will do but it's so much better with the real stuff! Feel free to add cheese, raisins, or other additions for added goodness :)
