Sault memories
Bill Nash Bill Nash ·

One of the Sault's first fast food drive-ins was located on Second Line West close to where the No Frills is now located. It was originally called the Penguin Drive-in, and specialized in burgers and soft-serve ice cream. In 1962 it transformed into the drive-in chain, "The Big Boy". The success of a fast food drive-in in the west end lead to "JJ's Hacienda" opening across the street in the 60s, which probably lead to the later demise of the Big Boy Drive-in.
