This fall, for the first time, I read memoirs found at the local library. Life in Two Worlds by Ted Nolan, Between Two Kingdoms by Suleika Jaouad and Hijab Butch Blues by Lamya H. It put me in places and experiences that I could not imagine. In all three the authors are moving through a world where"feeling safe" is not to be taken for granted. It gave me an appreciation for resilience and community. Do you have a suggestion when it comes to memoirs?
