We're a small, welcoming group passionate about preserving the art of Hungarian Hussar sabre fencing—a living lineage of military sabre fencing descended from WWI-era Hungarian Hussars.
The Hussars were light cavalry units with roots in Central and Eastern Europe. They were famed for thundering into battle on horseback with their sabres drawn.
📅 When We Meet: • 1st, 3rd, and 4th Wednesday of every month • 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. 📍 Where: Sault Ste. Marie Museum
Our classes are open to anyone, regardless of age or prior athletic experience. We focus on helping each other develop athletic skills in a friendly, fun, and engaging environment. With an emphasis on proper body mechanics, we start with the basics and progress together as a group. It's super nerdy, but it's fun!
