@Shelly Bazil-Smith That would be awesome! Flights were the biggest barrier last time I looked - nothing very direct, especially from SSM. My wife is a teacher so we have limited time at March break.
@Scott Elgie yesss flights to Dominica can be a challenge but if you plan wayyyy wayyÿ wayyyyy ahead lol you can work around the challenges.
I went there in 2014. I love that it has been largely untouched by resorts and other touristy stuff. If you love nature, you'll love Dominica.

Wow! Amazingly beautiful landscape. Thea Lafond put Dominica on the map in the world of track and field at Tokyo, for those who follow triple jump. Would her winning a gold medal have been widely celebrated in Dominica (I ask because we've had some track and field athletes win gold medals in Canada and go pretty much unnoticed!).
The island and it's people celebrated Thea in a BIG WAY!! From the time she landed and the days that followed- there were parades and other major celebrations in her honor. She is our first Olympic medalist ever!! And we are so proud!! We are a very patriotic people and so we took pride in celebrating her and DOMINICA ! 🇩🇲

Hi everyone allow me to introduce myself. My name is Shelly( Newcomer Space co-host) and I am from the island of Dominica, located in the Caribbean. Not to be confused with Dominica Republic. Lol My island the Commonwealth of Dominica is located between French islands Martinique and Guadeloupe. My family moved here 2.5 years ago. We came as a family of 3, now 4.
