Have a holly jolly Christmas

Now I don't know if there'll be snow
But have a cup of cheer

So I would like to share a family tradition from years gone by. On the night before Christmas I would go over to the house and help Mom in the kitchen, make finger foods and a host of other snacks, including her amazing variety of cookies. Believe me I miss those days of sneaking cookies while they were on the cooling rack behind Moms back. Anyway, while waiting for my brothers and sisters to come over, Mom would light up the manger and put on Christmas music, her favorite being Luciano Pavarotti. The house soon filled up with parents and grand children in tow, and settle down for something to eat and later on open their gifts from Grandma and ooh and ahh over what they got. Soon it would be time to pack the kids in the car and head home, while some went to midnight mass. I miss those days and during this special time remember my parents who have passed away but not forgotten.

So what is one of your family traditions or memory of Christmas? Feel free to share it here.

If you would like to know, I am one of those last minute shoppers, so I will be busy like one of Santa's elves.

As always stay tuned, stay safe and be kind during the holiday season.
