So recently I was searching Youtube and found this female artist named Maggie Rogers. She is an American singer-songwriter and record producer who gained widespread recognition in 2016 when her song "Alaska" was played to Pharrell Williams during a master class at NYU. She has released two independent albums, The Echo (2012) and Blood Ballet (2014), and three studio albums, Heard It in a Past Life (2019), Surrender (2022), and Don't Forget Me (2024). Maggie was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 2020. Her music blends pop, folk, and indie influences, and she is known for her emotive voice and introspective lyrics.
I'm listening to her in the background while I write this and honestly I'm hooked on her music. Furthermore, she stands out in the Indie pop scene with her unique blend of folk, dance, and pop influences. Other artists who share some similarities are Lorde, Florence Welch, Phoebe Bridges, and Sylvan Esso.
