Good morning music fans and I hope that you are enjoying Bob Soo and all of the events going on. I love this time of year. Such a needed break during this epic winter season.
So the other day I was talking with some friends about Castle Farms Music Theatre and the concerts that were attended back in the 80's. It was such a magical place to see some of the top artists of the day and to make lasting friendships with the concert goers we met along the way.
When this venue closed in the late 90's it left a huge hole in our area and Northern Michigan to catch live acts. Sadly, casinos have filled that need but it just doesn't have the same ambience as sitting on the grass with a blanket, sunshine on your face and enjoying a cold beer.
Today, Castle Farms is a one of Michigan’s premier historical attractions, as well as a celebrated Northern Michigan wedding venue. Castle Farms offers the chance to explore acres of gardens, learn over a century of history, view entrancing collections, discover dragons near an enchanted forest, experience Michigan’s largest outdoor model railroad, and taste wine from 1918 Cellars!

As part of Bon Soo, The Blues Society is presenting their 6th Bon Soo Blues night Thursday Feb 13th with the Spencer Mackenzie band at the Machine Shop. Doors open @ 6:30pm and concert starts @ 7pm. General admission is $35.00, student price is $20.00 are on sale for cash only at our supportive outlets listed on the poster and for credit card and online sales at the Community Theatre box office in Station Mall, also on Friday (service charges apply).

As always, your favorite local bands are out and about every weekend and are just waiting to entertain you with their unique sound and music lineup to get you rockin and rolling and kick up your heels.

Stay tuned, stay safe and be kind. See you around town.
