Good day everyone. Here is a music tidbit for you. Fifty years ago Supertramp released Crime of the Century which included my favorites Bloody Well Right, Dreamer and School. I really wore this album down but still rings true today.
Ok, so that mysterious band that I last mentioned is back on the concert trail after a very bad break up is Oasis. Here is some background info:
Oasis is an iconic English rock band formed in Manchester in 1991. The band was originally composed of Liam Gallagher (lead vocals), Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs (guitar), Paul “Guigsy” McGuigan (bass guitar), and Tony McCarroll (drums). Liam’s older brother, Noel Gallagher, joined shortly after as the lead guitarist and primary songwriter, solidifying the band’s lineup
Oasis quickly rose to fame with their debut album, Definitely Maybe (1994), which became the fastest-selling debut album in UK history at the time2. Their follow-up album, (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? (1995), propelled them to international stardom with hits like “Wonderwall” and "Don’t Look Back in Anger"2. Known for their catchy melodies and the Gallagher brothers’ charismatic yet tumultuous relationship, Oasis became a defining band of the Britpop era2.
Despite internal conflicts leading to their split in 2009, Oasis left a lasting legacy on the music world. They are set to reunite for a much-anticipated tour in 20252.
Liam and Noel Gallagher, rhythm guitarist Paul Bonehead Arthurs is set to return after battling cancer and his eventual replacement Gem Archer, Russel Pritchard (bass), Chris Sharrock (drums), and Jessica Greenfield (keyboards, percussion and backing vocals).
