Check out our awesome lineup of local musicians for our 14th ANNUAL BLUES FOR FOOD!!
Blues for Food was started way, way back in 2010 by Rusty McCarthy with a few of his musician friends volunteering for one night of blues and the Sault Blues Society helped collecting non perishable goods and cash which were donated to a local charity.
Blues for Food has GROWN and is now 2 nights every year with up to 20 local musicians playing for your dancing and listening enjoyment. Now Soo Blaster pays the house bands and the Sault Blues Society pays the guests a stipend for their time, all of the collected foods and cash go directly to the Soup Kitchen and St. Vincent Place.
Come out, get into the season, enjoy some local blues all while supporting our worthy local charities.
2024 dates are Friday Dec. 6th and Saturday Dec. 7th from 8 to 11 pm at Soo Blaster.
INCOME TAX receipts available for any cash/cheque donations of $20.00 or more directly from the charities with a complete mailing address including postal code.
This charity event is made possible with support from Soo Blaster, the City of Sault Ste. Marie Cultural Grant department and 705Live Sound Co.
