Has anyone made a local deer harvest this year? It seems our deer population is excellent but with the deep snow so far the future is uncertain for 2025. Show off your harvest!

The last 9 days of Ontario deer season is here. The deep snow will be hard on our herd this year. The deer are chest deep with snow. Keep your fingers crossed it stops snowing soon.

Were you a successful St. Joseph Island Hunter? Show us your 2024 harvest! Bonus if you got the 211.5 lb-er! While I did see a nice buck opening morning, our crew didn’t harvest one this year but I included some of last years bucks.

My eldest daughter (age 11) recently took part in her first moose hunting expedition up north with her Dad. He has always been an avid hunter, and when my Grandfather passed away, who was also an avid hunter, her Dad received one of his hunting knives. A new sheath was made for it, and passed on to my daughter. It's a nice peice of family history that will continue down the line. Is there a history or tradition of hunting in your family? …
