My eldest daughter (age 11) recently took part in her first moose hunting expedition up north with her Dad. He has always been an avid hunter, and when my Grandfather passed away, who was also an avid hunter, her Dad received one of his hunting knives. A new sheath was made for it, and passed on to my daughter. It's a nice peice of family history that will continue down the line.
Is there a history or tradition of hunting in your family? What memories do you have that are associated with those times? Are you passing on knowledge about hunting to younger generations in your family?
