We have been ice climbing along Mile 38 road since 2000. Today we walked up a small creek bed and discovered at the cliff 2 new waterfalls. Not the easiest hike, but it will certainly be worth the snowshoe this winter

The most accessible ICE CLIMB in the area is the Ice climb in Searchmont at the end of Hult Road. From the parking area, it is a 6 minute hike to the icewall. This Icewall gets visited by Ice Climbers from throughout the region, due to accessibility and the various grades of climbing. Here are a few photos.

Ice Climbing also takes place in the evenings when the temperature is not so cold. A fire barrel keeps climbers warm during the climbing. Its a fun and exciting event for level 2 climbers that have climbed ice during the daylight.
