Tagona Press is pleased to announce that on Friday, November 22, national award-winning journalist Diane Sims' fine memoir 'Living Beyond The Shadow' will have its official Sault book launch - hosted by Forty-Five Social (117 Spring Street), commencing at 630pm. Free admission, a cash bar, nice snacks, readings, with a chance to meet and chat with a truly remarkable person.

Born and raised here (a Sault Collegiate grad), at age 17 Diane was told by her doctors that she had multiple sclerosis (MS) - her doctors told Diane that she should "expect to be dead by age 35." Now 66, Diane has forged an acclaimed Canadian writing career - while overcoming MS, various cancers, and daunting physical limitations that would have defeated many.

In 2023, Diane decided that as her MS was now at its end stage, she would control her life's end through 'medical assistance in dying' (MAiD). Her description of this MAiD decision-making process is at once powerful and uplifting.

Please join us! A great book written by an even better person. Books will be sold - Diane will sign them (all books are $30 including GST, cash or e-transfer (you can preorder through [email protected])
