Don't try this at home! Yes, the Swiss legend of William Tell sees the hero shooting an apple balanced on his son's head. That was different though: it was Tell's punishment for bold tyrannicide which inspired a revolution.
Thankfully he was pretty good under pressure.
(BTW, the instrument of choice in that story is usually a crossbow.)
