My first attempt at cutting boards. Same piece of maple, end grain vs edge grain. Cutting a juice groove and handles was probably the trickiest part The end grain took a lot more time than the other. Now I’m ready to try some more exotic patterns.

Nice work Andre. What did you use to seal the wood? I know there is a lot of controversy online as types of sealants. Food-safe mineral oil seems to be most popular, but some people are using baby oil because it is 98% mineral oil. Beeswax cream is also often used.

A mix of mineral oil and beeswax. Next one won’t have handles or feet and one side with edge groove so you can use one side for meet and the other for meat. Also a lot less work to make.

Is that meant to be a sort it handle on the back? It is a nice addition for ease of pickup. If you are looking for a similar idea for double-sided boards, you can also cut a slight inset groove on the sides
