As someone who likes to read a lot, but can get stuck reading and re-reading my "go-to" authors, I decided to organize a mini library/book swap at work. Hopefully a steady rotation of books will continue to flow through and I'll be introduced to some books and authors I would have otherwise never considered :)

Hey everyone, I am reading The Covenant of Water, by Abraham Verghese. I love it, the language and imagery is wonderful, almost lyrical. However, it reads so smoothly it lulls me to sleep. Not because I am bored - because I am not at all - but rather is almost sings me to sleep. This happen to anyone else? Am I just tired? LOL

Can you read in the car? I am headed on a road trip for work and I am hoping to finish my 800 page book while we are driving. Normally reading while driving doesn't sit well with me.
Does anyone have any tips and tricks? Fingers crossed I am able to get a bit of reading in.

Do you have a favourite spot to sit and read? Maybe you like listening to an audiobook while you clean. Maybe you like reading in bed or while laying on the floor. Me, well I have "my spot". It's the right side of my couch. I have a lamp beside me, a spot next to me for my dogs and my big comfy blanket, (which I use even when it's hot).

Current read: The Nickel Boys π by Colson Whitehead is a powerful and heartbreaking novel based on a real reform school in Florida
It follows Elwood and Turner, two boys whose friendship is tested by the brutal injustices they face βοΈπ
This gripping story sheds light on a dark chapter of American history πΊπΈπ―οΈ

So I just finished an 8 book series and last night I didn't know what to do with myself. I'm sad the series is over. I tried to start a new book but only made it about 30 pages in and gave up. What do you do to get yourself back into reading after finishing an amazing book or series? I know it's only been a day, but I am someone who reads every day. Do I get more books by this author or do I take a few days off from reading?

I am hoping to finish the Throne of Glass series this weekend. Only 350 pages into a 980 page book. I want to finish it so badly, but at the same time I don't want it to end.
