I remember my parents having a couple of the large 30 gallon Rubbermaid bins full of photos. I loved pulling out photos and asking them what the story was behind each picture. Can't really do that anymore with digital photos.

All the waiting and then ending up with double prints of the rolls that didn't turn out well... ah, good old days indeed!

Digital has definitely made photography more accessible. I remember at one point having at least a dozen rolls of un-developed film laying around waiting to go to Blacks. :)

I’m old enough to remember my dad getting his first digital camera, but young enough to never have really used film. These days it seems so easy with autofocus, and some phones (Samsung) even have on-screen pop-ups that suggest the best framing too. It’s nice that it’s so easy and accessible, but I’m assuming there was something lost between the anticipation of the film being developed, and even maybe some restraint when shooting so you don’t
Photography has come so far in the last 30 years. When I was young, you had the choice of 24 or 36 photo film rolls, loaded the camera up, (making sure never to open the back of the camera after that) You took your shots and never knew if they were good until they got back from the Walmart photo centre. Then you looked at them, showed the good 10 or so to family/friends, and put them in a box in the basement where they stayed until you looked at them again 20 years later. By that time they were stuck together and you ruined some just by trying to pry them apart. Oh, the good old days !
