It looks like our local Long and Mcquade is hosting some workshops in March on back to back Saturdays (March 15th, March 22nd). Both workshops takes place at 3:00 pm.
The first weekend is a guitar maintenance 101 course with local guitar expert Joey Marrocco. Joey's personally worked on all of my instruments numerous times (especially grateful for his fretwork on my Godin bass), so I can attest it'll be a great session.
The second weekend is a drum clinic with local drum expert Phil Greco whom you may have heard around town playing with numerous acts including Fort Creek and The Saturday Nights. Phil's got a lot of knowledge on tracking drums in the studio too, so I'm sure he'll have some great tips on the importance of even playing dynamics and how it differs from live to studio environments.
