Hello music fans.

Its been busy at work, but with a day off and coffee in hand, lets continue this journey.

I remember buying my first stereo unit from Arnills Music back in the day and one of the first albums I bought was Born To Run by Bruce Springsteen. I immediately loved it and went on to collect his other albums/cds from then on. I can still hear my father yelling downstairs to turn down that music. I eventually bought a pair of headphones.

I recently came across a book of the same album name in Coles and could not put it down. It was a page turner to say the least and gave me new insights into the singers personal and professional life.
Published in 2016, the book offers an intimate look at Springsteen's journey from his early years in Freehold, New Jersey, to his rise to fame as one of America's most beloved rock stars.

Springsteen shares his experiences growing up in a working-class family, his struggles with his father's mental health issues, and the profound influence of his Catholic upbringing. He recounts his early musical influences, including Elvis Presley and The Beatles, and his determination to succeed despite numerous setbacks.
The memoir also explores Springsteen's creative process, his reflections on fame, and his commitment to social justice. He provides insights into the making of his most famous albums and the personal and professional challenges he faced along the way.

Throughout the book, Springsteen's storytelling is candid and reflective, offering readers a deep understanding of the man behind the music and the enduring impact of his work.
So if you are a fan like me then this would be a must read for your book collection.

On the local scene I found a group on Facebook called Sault Live Music Gigs and here you can find out where your favorite local band is playing. I check this weekly and have been blown away at all of this talent in our town. For example, on Nov 10 at Jay's Piston Broke Pub is the debut of a new local band called Barb Wire. This matinee runs from 2 to 6 pm. See you there.

Before I go I want you to know that you can ask me anything. I look forward to your questions.

In the meantime, like always, stay tuned, stay safe and be kind
