Alright Alright Alright. Happy Hump Day so grab your morning coffee and lets go.
In the rumor mill, AC/DC, as reported by fan sites, that the hard rocking band is gearing up for a summer concert tour, after wrapping up their Power Up tour in the U.K. No confirmation as of yet for tickets and venues. But it is also reported that Axl Rose of Guns n Roses could be joining the band. We will have to wait and see what happens over the next few months.
Well Taylor Swift's Eras Tour is well underway in Toronto and then she is off to Vancouver. There is a lot of buzz in the news and has coined a new word called Swiftonomics. Now this refers to the significant economic impact of Taylor Swift's activities, particularly her concerts and tours. Taylor Swift's Eras Tour has been a major economic driver, boosting local economies in cities where she performs. For example, her concerts in Toronto are expected to generate over $282 million in economic impact, with over $152 million in direct spending The economic benefits of her tours extend beyond ticket sales. Local businesses, including hotels, restaurants, and retail stores, see a surge in activity as fans flock to the city for the concerts. This influx of visitors leads to increased spending on accommodations, food, transportation, and merchandise It can be said that her tour can be compared to when the Beatles came to America back in the 60's. But to pick one over the other is too close to call.
So I've been out and about listening to some of our local talent at different watering holes and it is exciting to hear these musicians. Please continue your good work and to the public support these hard working people and just party and have fun.
