Bocce ball is a classic backyard game with a great history spanning thousands of years, and people of all nationalities and nobility have played the game for millennia.

I believe this recipe book is from the 1950’s. A beloved collection established by local church and civic groups in the Soo - Italian, Croatian, Ukrainian, Finnish, Viennese. You can see the love of community from the notes inside, and with the local merchants who advertised in it.

It is a great past time for those long winter days. The Bocce league plays at the Rollers Bocce Courts at the Marconi Cultural Center on Albert Street every Tuesday and Thursday from 6-9pm
