Little room update for the girls, they picked out fabric for curtains tonight 🪟
My sewing skills are passable, mostly learned in order to hem my own pants (I’m 5ft tall so this has probably saved me a fortune 😂) but I’d love to put more time into a project that helps me fine-tune.
Any other sewers in here? 🧵

My grandson loves dinosaurs. I made him a multicoloured acrylic nightlight with this dinosaur etched on the clear acrylic using my X-tool D1 Pro laser.

There is a trend at the track meets this year where girls were bringing clothespins with fun and positive messages on them to the track meet and secretly clipping them on other girls competing. My daughter wanted to participate so we made a big batch for her to clip on other athletes :)

My first time trying ceramic painting at Paint & Decor concepts was a success! Super fun and relaxing activity and I think it turned out so cute 😍

Started this last night. Probably about an hours work. Oils. And all done using only one knife.

Started a 550-piece model. Zaku II PG. It's intense. Wiring up LEDs, functioning hydraulics. Any other Gunpla nerds here?

Gouache on watercolour paper. Gouache is new to be so I challenged myself with a colour palette generator and a stock photo. I'm pretty happy with how it came together.

I was able to finish a few foraging bags this weekend that look like acorns. I love going for walks and collecting things, so this will be perfect for those! :)

My first completed doodle using ProCreate. So. Many. Layers. I'm really loving that program. Anyone else use it to create art?

Any LOZ fans? I "finished" my link project over easter weekend. I took WAY more photos of the build but, here's a condensed look.

I find comfort in numbers and spreadsheets. But I follow a watercolour artist on TikTok that has convinced me to paint with my heart. Unfortunately, our office doggos have become trapped in my attempts at watercolour… this doggos momma is in this group - so I’m not sure if they will recognize them or not…. Went rogue trying to give some texture - and almost scrapped it. I’m putting my brushes down on this one.

Remember like 2 posts ago when I said I was afraid to mess up my painting? I just painted it again so I wouldn't have to worry about it. Should I do a third and make it a trio lol.

Work in progress. I thought I'd share a small bit of behind the scenes. This is a really condensed look at my workflow. Sculpted/rendered in Zbrush, smoke added in Photoshop. Zero AI.

Bought myself a little treat last week — an iPad, Apple Pencil and the ProCreate app. I've been playing with it a bit and created this thing while I was exploring layers and masking and brushes and stuff. It's weird and I don't know what it is, but if anyone has any hot ProCreate tips, please pass them along.
