Gouache on watercolour paper. Gouache is new to be so I challenged myself with a colour palette generator and a stock photo. I'm pretty happy with how it came together.

I find comfort in numbers and spreadsheets. But I follow a watercolour artist on TikTok that has convinced me to paint with my heart. Unfortunately, our office doggos have become trapped in my attempts at watercolour… this doggos momma is in this group - so I’m not sure if they will recognize them or not…. Went rogue trying to give some texture - and almost scrapped it. I’m putting my brushes down on this one.

Work in progress. I thought I'd share a small bit of behind the scenes. This is a really condensed look at my workflow. Sculpted/rendered in Zbrush, smoke added in Photoshop. Zero AI.

Bought myself a little treat last week — an iPad, Apple Pencil and the ProCreate app. I've been playing with it a bit and created this thing while I was exploring layers and masking and brushes and stuff. It's weird and I don't know what it is, but if anyone has any hot ProCreate tips, please pass them along.

Posting this painting in its current state. I have a habit of overworking my stuff. I always like it better in these loose"sketching" stages. I blame Ken Danby for my love of perfectly incomplete paintings.

I attended the Glaze and Graze event in support of the ARCH Hospice at Paint and Decor Concepts on Thursday. It was a great evening learning to paint pottery. Looking forward to seeing the finished mug.
