A small group of us in local Sault literary community are taking our first steps towards creating a formal writers' organization - provisionally named the 'Algoma Writers' Collective' (AWC) - a broad strokes description - the AWC will provide information, insights, and (maybe :) inspiration for local writers and others associated with this creative space (publishers, commentators, local media, etc.) ...
There have been other Sault groups organized in this space (notably in the pre Covid era), and full respect expressed here for those initiatives. Our initial AWC efforts are building on our local literary community's emerging critical mass, and we see excellent opportunities to network, share information that might assist local writers in navigating sometimes tricky publishing spaces... and celebrate the written word.
