COULD QUEEN ST. BECOME THE CRUIZIN CAPITAL OF ONTARIO?............. Could Queen Street be the home of a Cruizin Queen Event, a cars in motion event? The timing may be right and just around the corner when a soon to be completed, newly constructed and rejuvenated Queen Street becomes a reality. The vision of hundreds of cars Cruizin Queen, to an
audience of many Patio diners, with others enjoying their favorite cold snacks and many that purposely make a trip downtown with their lawn chairs in hand to watch these fine cars Cruzin Queen is certainly a possibility. The Woodward Cruise in Detroit and the Hot August Night Cruise in Reno Nevada are two of the many that have flourished. The refreshed Queen Street with its narrower roadway, the new lighting system, the wider walkways that would allow for lots of bystanders and give sufficient room for others in lawn chairs and personal EVs would provide the perfect venue for such an event. Car afficionados and fans are creatures of habit where they gather regularily in areas routinely such as the regular Thursday evening get togethers at Maslacks. Could they do the same on a rejuvenated Queen Street? Its certainly possible.
