Homestyle White Bread. Found my new favourite recipe!

Homestyle White Bread

Makes 2 loaves of rich, fluffy, delicious bread.
Approx 10 mins prep time, 55 mins total to rise, and 20 mins to bake.

4 cups bread flour (more if needed)
3 tablespoons sugar
2 packets Quick Rise yeast
2 teaspoons salt
1 ½ cups water
½ cup cream or milk
2 tablespoons butter

Combine 2 cups of flour, and the sugar, salt and yeast in a large mixing bowl, or in a stand mixer bowl if you have one.

Put the water, cream and butter in a bowl and microwave it for about a minute, until the butter is mostly melted.

Pour the warm mixture into the dry ingredients, and mix for a couple minutes. Then, add the remaining two cups of flour, one at a time, mixing it in as much as possible.

When the dough is mixed, sprinkle some flour on the counter and knead your dough for a couple minutes. Then let it sit covered in a clean towel for 10 minutes.

After it has risen a bit, cut the dough into two equal chunks. Using a rolling pin, roll each chunk into a roughly 8x12 shape.

From the short end, roll up each piece of dough tightly. Pinch the ends. Grease two bread pans, and put the rolls in the pans with the seam side down.

Cover the pans with a clean towel, and let the bread rise for 45 minutes in a warm place, until they are doubled in size. (if you end up using slow yeast, it needs 2-3 hours to rise)

Bake the bread at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Allow to cool on a drying rack for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
